Tools and approaches
UNHCR operations generally encompass a wide variety of activities, ranging from emergency response, legal protection and intervention through policy research and evaluation as well as advocacy to fund-raising, capacity-building and public information.
In Central Europe the UN Refugee Agency employs four main tools to fulfil its mandate and ensure that refugees, asylum-seekers and stateless people are all assisted and protected in the region.
