The Human Story
The lives behind the statistics
Behind data, press releases, and statistics are real people with harrowing tales of suffering and loss, hope and ambition. We believe that the agency must give a voice to those who otherwise would not be heard. Our staff regularly gathers human stories about refugees, asylum-seekers and stateless people to publish on our website. Through these accounts, people living in peace and comfort can better understand why the displaced and stateless need our compassion and care. See stories of hardship, courage, struggle and perseverance below.
